Job Description Summary

Michigan Technological University, a nationally recognized leader in science and engineering education and research, invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in the ETAC-ABET accredited Electrical Engineering Technology program within the School of Technology starting August 2018. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate classes and laboratories, create innovative instructional materials and laboratory experiences, participate in program assessment activity related to accreditation, and perform student advising and other departmental service.

Required Education (minimum requirements)

Master’s degree in electrical, computer, or a closely-related engineering or engineering technology field from an accredited institution.

Required Experience (minimum requirements)

Evidence of effective teaching.

Evidence of three years of relevant industrial experience.

The successful applicants should be capable of teaching a variety of electrical engineering technology courses in the areas of controls, power systems, instrumentation, LabVIEW, PLC, and industrial automation. In addition, applicants should demonstrate technical expertise to teach fundamental courses such as digital electronics, communications, electrical machinery, electronics, and circuits.
