• Teach graduate courses in medical informatics with possible teaching opportunities in the School of Technology’s Computer Network and System Administration (CNSA) undergraduate program;
• Have a record of federal, state, foundation, or industry funding in the area of medical/health informatics;
• Promote the medical informatics program through local, regional, and national engagement and;
• Participate in program assessment activity related to accreditation.

An earned doctorate (PhD, MD, or DO).

• Demonstrate credentials consistent with appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor;
• Demonstrate evidence of a strong commitment to teaching;
• Have a continuing record of research and scholarship relevant to medical informatics or a closely related field.

Preference will be given to those having: one or more health-research activities that enhance the reputation of the university; generation of additional federal, state, foundation, industry and other external grants and funds; and innovative leadership and mentoring of students and faculty.

The work environment is that of a typical office and/or classroom setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
