Job Description Summary

The Graduate School seeks a highly motivated, creative and collaborative individual to join our team as a digital content and programs coordinator. The position is responsible for supporting and maintaining websites and providing support for students, faculty and administrators for interdisciplinary and special graduate programs. The position also assists with the assessment of graduate student learning outcomes and the periodic review of graduate programs in support of continual improvement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

Digital Content Coordination
● Utilize the university’s content management system to maintain and update the Graduate School’s websites
● Ensure that content, function, and visual integrity of the websites are maintained consistently
● Modify pre-existing code and troubleshoot problems in websites
● Update blogs, forms, and Graduate School calendars
● Develop content for updates and new web pages
● Serve as a liaison to University Marketing and Communications
● Analyze web analytics and related data to evaluate digital performance
● Develop and maintain a social media presence

Graduate Program Assessment

● Coordinate ongoing review of all graduate programs in collaboration with the Dean of the Graduate School
● Liaise with others on campus to provide information for the purposes of assessment and accreditation
● Gather and/or analyze data related to graduate program assessment

Program Coordination
● Provide program-related support to graduate program directors affiliated with the categories listed below:
Interdisciplinary graduate programs (e.g., Atmospheric Sciences)
Non-degree programs (e.g., Certificate-only students and non-degree seeking students)

● Assist with negotiated and partner program agreements

● Commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying them to everyday work.
● Actively engage in University continuous improvement initiatives
● Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work
● Take on all other duties as assigned

Required Education (minimum requirements)

● A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which applicable knowledge and abilities have been acquired

Required Experience (minimum requirements)

● One year of experience working with web development or a similar field
● Experience using personal computers and software packages
● Experience using advanced features of word processing and spreadsheet/database software
● Experience working independently under time constraints

Desirable Education and/or Experience

● Master’s degree
● Experience working in higher education

● Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
● Experience or ability to learn OU Campus Content Management System
● Experience or ability to learn Word Press
● Experience with HTML, Javascript, CSS, or web design software
● Ability to gather and analyze data

Experience with:
● External media such as Flickr and YouTube
● Social media, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter
● Administration of graduate education
● Banner, Oracle, Web Focus and Discoverer reports
● Assessment of academic courses or curricula

Language, Mathematical, and/or Reasoning Skills

● Outstanding oral and written communication skills
● Proficient in mathematics at the college algebra level or above
● Ability to make data-based judgements and provide logical justifications for those judgements orally and in writing
