Job Description Summary

Michigan Technological University, Departmnet of Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics (ME-EM) invites applications for a non tenure track senior lecturer position.

We seek candidates with expertise and experience in vehicle dynamics, dynamic systems, and model-based design.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

Teaching undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering courses.

Mentoring students in career matters.

Serving on committees.

Conducting outreach activities periodically.

Assisting with department assessment.

Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work.

Commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying them to everyday work.

Required Education (minimum requirements)

PhD in mechanical engineering or closely related field or a combination of education and at least five years experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.

Required Experience (minimum requirements)

Classroom teaching experience.
