|Job Description Summary||
Michigan Technological University’s Department of Computer Science invites applications for one or more non-tenure track Lecturer positions. Applicants in all fields of Computer Science will be considered. The Department seeks individuals who can teach across the Computer Science curriculum, particularly second and third year Systems courses.
|Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)||
• Teach and develop undergraduate courses. The typical teaching load is three courses per semester.
|Required Education (minimum requirements)||
• M.S. or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
|Required Experience (minimum requirements)||
• Teaching experience in computer science courses.
|Desirable Education and/or Experience||
• ABET experience.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

The Department has 19 faculty, 450 undergraduate students in two degree programs (Computer Science and Software Engineering) and 48 M.S. and Ph.D. students. Faculty research interests include architecture, artificial intelligence, compilers, distributed systems, education, embedded and multimedia systems, graphics, human computer interaction, machine learning, mobile computing, software engineering, virtual environments, visualization, security, and wireless networking. The Department is a member of the university’s Alliance for Computing, Information & Automation and participates in several interdisciplinary initiatives, including the Data Science graduate program.
