Job Description Summary

The Enterprise Program Coordinator provides day-to-day program coordination and support for Michigan Tech’s Enterprise Program in three main areas: program sponsorship and fundraising, industry/alumni engagement, and program/curriculum. Essential duties and responsibilities are outlined below.

1. Sponsorship coordination and support:
● Manage gift-in-kind (GIK) donations to Enterprise teams: identify possible donors, coordinate team solicitations, obtain agreed upon fair market values, and process donation paperwork.
● Support the Sponsored Projects Manager in expanding external program sponsorship: identify, qualify, and prioritize prospective/new program sponsors in strategic areas (e.g. by region, sector, etc.).
● Assist with creation/updating/organization of Enterprise marketing and promotional materials such as brochures and flyers, targeted presentations, sponsor information packets, etc.
● Assist the Sponsored Projects Manager in compiling project portfolios/engagement histories for past/current project sponsors.

2. Industry and alumni engagement coordination:
● Create promotional materials and coordinate logistics for Enterprise industry speaker events.
● Assist in scheduling meetings and coordinating logistics for industry and alumni campus visits.
● Support new initiatives to engage with the Enterprise program’s ~3000+ alumni.

3. Curriculum and program coordination:
● Support ABET/program assessment processes (data collection, analysis, and reporting).
● Enterprise data/dashboard support and analytics; help collect Enterprise enrollment data, sponsorship metrics, etc. and summarize into meaningful program information.
● Help compile an annual report for the Enterprise Program.
● Help update and maintain the Enterprise Operations Manual.
● Assist with planning and coordination for on campus events including: annual kickoff meetings with advisors and teams, enterprise recruiting fair(s), and Design Expo.

Required Education (minimum requirements)

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, engineering, marketing, or technology discipline.

Required Experience (minimum requirements)

• Minimum two years of experience working in an academic or business/corporate setting.
• Experience using personal computers and basic software knowledge such as Microsoft Office suite.

Desirable Education and/or Experience

• Experience interacting with external audiences/clients.
• Experience working with individuals at multiple levels within an organization.
• Program/project management experience.
• Desire to work in a dynamic, results-oriented, and collaborative environment.

● Effective oral communication; ability to communicate program benefits and value to external stakeholders via phone/teleconference, presentations.
● Excellent written communication; ability to generate high quality presentations suitable for external audiences; ability to help write funding proposals.
● Demonstrated project management, time management, and organizational skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders in support of program objectives.
● Displays a positive attitude and is able to motivate others to work toward specific goals.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities

• Experience with a CRM software such as SalesForce
• Experience applying continuous improvement tools and methods.

Work Environment and/or Physical Demands

The primary work environment is an office environment. Occasionally the Enterprise Program Coordinator may need to meet with students, advisors, and/or industry sponsors in campus lab/shop environments. The physical demands are representative of an office environment.
